Follow me on Twitter @LeeHengKean ! I'll most probably follow you back, XD
Hey guys, for some reason. since I revived my blog, I might as well revive my Twitter account then. Not much happened today, other than the fact that I went back to CHS to play some football. It was kinda bad, the grass was shit long, =.=
So anyways, I noticed something about Asian stereotypes. They're kinda true aren't they?
Asian parents REALLY care about grades. I still remember in primary school, I freaked when I got sucky results. There was this one time, I got an 80% in English, I hid it under my desk along with my 60 over marked papers not bringing it home. Because English is the only subject I'm actually decent at, the expectation is kinda high.
Also, tough love to asian parents includes hitting your kid with a cane. Let me tell you, as a kid, I'm a bit TOO familiar with the cane man. But I can't say the method doesn't work lah, unfortunately, XD
He talks like a black dude in an asian body. XD
It's true though, sometimes when I complain to my dad about a certain things, he'll be saying how the thing I'm complaining is nothing compared to a thing he been through and all that. XD
Haha, so yeah, if this post made you laugh, most probably it was the videos, XD

A Football Post.
Come on, you knew this was coming. Don't say I didn't warn you, this post is gonna be about the beautiful game, so for those not interested, please come again. =D
So in my last post, I said I improved a bit. One weird thing I realised about my stamina is that it's much better when I play as a sub. Weird huh? I asked my dad why I could keep going while playing futsal but burn out in a matter of minutes in football, he said cause grass is harder to run on, =.=. Come to think of it, when I played in CHS, I played barefoot and I had no problem, so maybe it's the footwear? I highly doubt it, but I'm really determined to solve the problem.
Most people know that I'm not exactly the definition of fast, which is kinda part of the reason why I play at the centre. I don't really have a pinned down position, which has it's good and bad, good being that I'm experienced playing anywhere except for in goal. If you ask me, my best position is in defence, but I hate defending. I like going forward. The bad being, well, you don't have a definite position, =/
I'll stick to being an attacking midfielder for now. I'm practising to be a playmaker actually. One reason is cause the word playmaker is very cool, another being the other name for it, trquartista, also sounds very cool. XD. But honestly, is very cool is it? You're the player that controls the tempo of the game, main job is to provide assists, see passes that not all can see, scoring some goals in the process. See, so yeng. At least that's what I'm TRYING to be lah.
One of my favourite playmakers is none other than..
MESUT OZILLLLL!
The player who so nearly signed for United in 2010, but chose Madrid instead, =(.
A lot of people refer to Messi as a playmaker. I don't think so loh. In fact, I feel that everybody in the footballing world is biased towards him just because Ronaldo is arrogant and Messi isn't. When a player scores a fantastic goal, the commentators will say that was a great goal. Messi scores a pretty normal one, the commentators start saying how brilliant that was and everything, when a player loses the ball, the commentators start criticizing him, when Messi loses the ball, the commentators start on how he was doing brilliantly until he lost it. You get my jist? I mean, Messi is the best football player lah, but no need so bias loh.
Anyways, another two playmakers I hope United will sign (either was will be good, hopefully both) is Eriksen and Gotze.
With Sneijder being already 27, I don't think he's worth the 35mil. I'd rather spend that 35mil on either one of these.
So anyways, back to the point, I wanna be a playmaker. =D
Haha, after reading this post. The people who know me will be like 'This guy macam yes'. People who don't know me will be like 'This guy football confirm damn God one, of not where will muka so tebal write this shit'. XD
Don't let my football brain better than my ability ah? XD
BAI.

2011
2011 is drawing to a close. Next year is the start of everything again, can't wait? =)
I'm not gonna make any new years resolutions, cause I don't need them, I'll change when I feel like there's the need to change.
I think I posted something like this before, because I feel like I posted something like this before, but whatever lah. It's a bit too early to sum up my year, but with 15 days left not counting today until 2012, better late than never I guess.
2011 has been a roller coaster of a year for me, plenty of downs, plenty of ups. The downside being I've changed school. The school I'm at now is great, don't get me wrong, the people here are arguably more quality than the people at CHS, but the thing missing is apparently what I miss the most, and that being normal.
Normal as in waking up at a time you REALLY don't wanna wake up at, get to school even before the sun rises, get to a classroom full of people, and the then the day unfolds, all the fun of high school and all.
The school I'm at now, as I said, the people are fantastic, but what goes on in it is very little. I miss being at school, sitting in class while the teacher's minding her own business (which apprently, is teaching, XD) while me and WeiJie look out at every passing girl and give our opinions and all like judges. In this school, there's only that much people, so there's no real surprise hidden, everyday, you know who's gonna appear, no new faces and all.
One thing that really bums me out is that next year's supposed to be prom year. In my school, there's this 5 inch or 1 inch or whatever inch rule between guys and girls, so I don't think prom's gonna be any likely. XD
I miss my friends. They weren't just my friends actually. A friend is just something like an acquaintance. This guys were more than friends. They were my brothers. Everyday, one of us will do something stupid, everyday, we'll be talking stupid stuff, random stuff.
Moments like those were the times of my life. =)
But of course all fun no work ain't the way to live. I had to go sometime. I've been in this school for a year now and we're still like how we are a year ago. Very good bros. =)
That's not to say Chempaka Homeschool did not serve up some feel good memoirs to mind you, =D
And there are still a ton of memories from my first year at Chempaka photographed in my mind. Here's to another (and hopefully my last) year then! =)
I've improved a lot, maybe it's cause of the influence of the people around me, I learned to be more understanding, less judgemental, more tolerant, and to be very patient.
OH YAH. I also improved in football. IKR. XD
Week in, week out I come back from P.E feeling a bit depressed, because I know that I can be better. My stamina was as short as short could be, I didn't know how that happened cause that wasn't the case in CHS, I could've ran on and on. When the hols started, I played futsal with some CHS mates, I expected myself to be biting people's dust all the time, but I actually did pretty good. It made me realise that I didn't drop when I went to Chempaka, is the standard was raised. I played in the same team as the best players I've ever played with, and I'm proud of that. I know I'm still a long way from being decent, but what's the rush? Football in my future will only be a hobby. =)
So yeah, that's my 2011, bring on 2012 eh? =)

Life Makes Love Look Hard
I love that song. I LOVE that singer. =))
12.35am, Wednesday
Hmmm. Well, unless I'm feeling particularly pekish, I don't think I'm having a Starbucks anytime soon. I had a Toffee Nut Frap today, it was okay, but definitely not worth my 15 bucks. I'd rather have a cup of bubble tea. XD
I still remember having my first Chatime early this year, while lining for it I was complaining about how stupid I am for joining a bunch of people in a long line just to get a cup of milk tea with bubbles, when I had it, it was all 'meh'.
The second time I had it was when it just opened in IOI Boulevard, that was when I fell in love. XD
Call me overrated, but Chatime is like, heaven. Honestly, I never tried Gong Cha before, I wanted to when I was at The Gardens, but pulled out and got a Chatime, =P. Kinda points out my reluctance to try out new things. I'm gonna try lah one day. Some day. Probably. XD
Some may describe my obsession with bubble tea a bit gay. Truth is, I think every guy has at least a few gay qualities about them. Take me for example, I don't think it's gay, I mean, I'm proud to say it, I'll announce it to the world if I have to, I have Taylor Swift songs in my phone and I listen to them quite frequently.
I used to enjoy listening to The Jonas Brothers.
Also, I'm pretty cool with Justin Bieber. In fact, I like listening to Bieber's songs.
Oh yeah, one thing that I think most my friends know is that, I have a soft spot for bears. Don't ask me why, maybe it was the sneezing panda video or whatever, but I just do. Especially pandas. I mean, who can hate them?
LOOK AT IT. FREAKIN LOOK AT IT. How, HOW, I ask you, do you not want to give it a ginormous hug?
Honestly, if I could choose what I wanna be in my next life, I for sure, want to be a panda. Pandas, as I've said many times, are the poster kids for chill. They just sit there, mind their own business, have a bamboo, take a nap, I mean, ain't that the dream? XD
I was at Japan last year, and there was this polar bear in the zoo,
It was a bit zombified. It kept walking the same path overandover again, probably gone nuts. XD. It got me thinking, polar bears must be the best thing to hug to sleep, I mean, granted, they'll already have ripped you to shreds once you're close. But they so big and furry. How nice to cuddle on to. XD
Before I get too carried away, so yeah, my gay qualities include my obsession for bubble tea, love for all music, and a weird desire to cuddle on bears.
Yeah. =/
*Holy crap, good thing I proof read this post before posting, if not I would've posted (from paragraph 7) '..., I think every GAY has at least a few gay qualities about them.' When what I meant was '..., I think every GUY has at least a few gay qualities about them'. How controversial would that be if I posted it. ;)
